FRIENDS OF SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Purpose
Friends of Solon Center for the Arts was established to work in good faith with the City of Solon to
ensure the long-term viability of SCA. The funding purpose of the Friends
is based on the assumption that the City of Solon will continue to fund
SCA at a comparable and reasonable level into the future. The City has
the responsibility to meet the growing and diversified needs of its citizens.
FSCA will, therefore, secure resources to fund additional and expanded
programs, activities, events and related expenses beyond those costs
of services more appropriately funded by the City of Solon.
Mission Statement
Friends of Solon Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization formed
to engage in support and fundraising activities that increase the viability
of Solon Center for the Arts.
Funds from the Friends of Solon Center for the Arts are provided through
membership dues, gifts and various fundraising projects to support the
Center’s programs, activities and items not available in the Center’s
regular operation budget.
Friends will coordinate and encourage the giving of charitable gifts
- financial and in-kind, endowments and bequests to the Center and its
programs for the cultural enrichment of the community.
Friends believe a strong arts center in Solon is a valuable intellectual,
cultural, educational and recreational resource that adds to the quality
of life in the community.
